What is the ATLETA Grants Program?
The Atleta Grants Program (abbreviated as AGP) is an initiative directed towards accelerating the growth of the ATLETA network's presence by incentivizing projects interested in deploying on/with ATLETA and providing support along their journey.
There are three modalities through which projects can acquire a grant; Ecosystem, RPGF, and Hackathons.
Ecosystem grants are available to all participants and refers to absolutely all types of contributions that qualify for rewards. These grants are on-going efforts that come in two flavors; open applications and RFPs. Open applications are generalized to be as inclusive and broad as possible, allowing users to submit anything that might otherwise be unspecified. RFP's or Requests for Proposals are structured, focused suggestions from the BCSports Foundation and/or other community members.
Please refer to {Ecosystem Grants page} for more information.
RPGF or Retroactive Public Goods Funding refers to a special program only applicable to projects that already have track record on-chain. This program distributes rewards based on the traceable impact of a project; the amount of gas its smart contracts consumes, the amount of blockspace, the total relative load on the network, the users (stickiness, capital flows, etc), amongst a much more robust/exhaustive list of other elements. Once a project satisfies all of the points in the selection criteria and passes the qualitative & quantitative thresholds, it automatically becomes capable of applying for RPGF.
Please refer to {RPGF page} for more information.
Hackathons are events where developers from all walks of life are invited to show their skills, solve hard problems, and synch with other keyboard warriors. ATLETA participates in hackathons as either the sole host, where the theme entirely revolves around ATLETA's technology or a collaborative co-host with other industry participants. ATLETA contributes to the rewards pools with capital, provides a supportive technical community, marketing efforts, and proceedings. Events shall be hosted multiple times every year in both physical and digital formats.
