Athlete Data Aggregation and Determination

Athlete metadata plays a key role in establishing their athletic capabilities and recording their contributions to sports. In order to maintain optimal consistency and coherence, BCSports will be leveraging a universal framework for players based on their sport and the dedicated role they play.

BCSports provides two formats of data on each athlete, natively in their NFTs and in the Directory.

The NFTs themselves will express the core metrics of an athlete’s skillset (an example for a Goalie would be the amount of times they deflect/protect their post). The metadata provided here will be kept maximally optimized (effectively just the anchor points; there will be no historic trails here).

The Directory, however, will be a Web2-based interface where a greater depth of information is provided. Higher levels of granularity, as well as more ancillary data points with their historic performance, shall be made available.
